This year, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the Hashomer Hatzair world movement is organizing a Masa Polin for adults - Hashomer Hatzair's parents and X-bogrim*ot.
The journey both deals with the rich and diverse Jewish life that was in Poland; the largest Jewish community in the world before the war and the tragedies of extermination, as well as the position the local Jewish community has there today. We also look at how memory is formed and the struggle between narratives.
Another important aspect of the journey is the connection to Hashomer Hatzair movements history, which was the largest Zionist youth movement in Europe before the war. The movement wrote some of the most important and inspirational chapters of our people during the Holocaust.
As part of the Hashomer Hatzair community I would like to invite you to participate in this important journey us. Here is some important information:
The adults trip will take place between 28.03.2023 - 02.04.2023 and will be held in parallel to the children's trip but not together (except for mutual ceremonies).
The days are led by qualified guides that are specially trained to lead trips in Poland and that are all academics and history experts.
The cost of the trip is 1,050 € and includes accommodation in 4/5 star hotels, all ground costs during the trip and the train from Vienna to Warsaw.
The return flight from Warsaw is not included in the price and should be booked independently according to the details you will receive later.
The guidance will take place in German or English (depending on the number of German-speaking participants).
